Shri Srinivasan Sridhar
Non-Executive Chairman
Shri Srinivasan Sridhar joined Indian Overseas Bank as part-time Non-Official Director as well as Non-Executive Chairman w.e.f 21.02.2024. Shri Srinivasan Sridhar was on the board of Bank of Baroda as Shareholder director from 2018 till his time of assumption of his current role. Shri Srinivasan Sridhar is a B.Com (Hons.) graduate from Delhi University and is also a Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Shri Srinivasan Sridhar has been associated with a leading global management consulting firm since 2013. In this role he works with CEOs, Boards of Directors and other senior leaders of top Financial Services companies in the region on topics such as Management Strategy, Client Coverage Models, Product and Distribution Strategies, Cost Optimization etc.
Shri Srinivasan Sridhar is a financial services expert with over 30 years of experience gained internationally and in India. He was with Citigroup for 28 years and has worked in 6 countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe. Some of the leadership positions he held with Citigroup included being CEO for three countries, Corporate Bank Head for India, Transaction Services Head for Africa and Bank Services Group Head for Central, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa. He also brings deep banking experience and track record from around the globe in areas such as Corporate and Investment Banking, Product Management, Risk Management, Governance and Regulatory Compliance.
Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava
Managing Director & CEO
Shri Ajay Kumar Srivastava has been elevated as Managing Director and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank with effect from 1st January 2023 from his current posting as Executive Director since 9th October 2017.
He started his banking career as Probationary officer in 1991 with Allahabad Bank where he worked in various capacities in different parts of the country. He is an astute and hardcore banker with vast field level experience and has the distinction of having successfully led the largest and most critical areas of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Delhi while working at senior level in Allahabad Bank.
After successful completion of about 27 years in Allahabad Bank he was elevated as Executive Director by Government of India and he joined Indian Overseas Bank on 09.10.2017.
At Indian overseas Bank as Executive Director, he had a very challenging journey. Bank was incurring losses since 2014, was in PCA since 2015 and financial parameters were in bad shape besides many other challenges. He made strategies for each of the key areas and successfully implemented them at the ground level with the support of the Board. He served the Bank as Executive Director for more than five years and handled all the departments and portfolios during the period. The highlight of his stint as Executive Director is that he had played a very key role in bringing the Bank out of loss in March 2020 and out of PCA in September 2021. Moreover, he was the only Executive Director in the Bank for about 14 months during 2020-2021.
He was appointed as Director on the Board of India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited(IIFCL) by Government of India for two years. He has also served as Director on the Board of Regional Rural Bank in his previous Bank.
Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy
Executive Director
Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy assumed charge as Executive Director of Indian Overseas Bank w.e.f 31.01.2024, prior to which he was Executive Director of Bank of Baroda w.e.f Oct.2021.Acareer Bankerforaround29years, he joined Bank of Baroda in the year 1996.
During his long career, he has handled a variety of functions and has been instrumental in spearheading and successfully implementing many projects and initiatives in Bank of Baroda viz. a Bank-wide Transformation Project called Project BOBNOWW, Business Process Reengineering Project - Project . Navnirmaan, a comprehensive HR Transformation Project called SPARSH, customised long-term Leadership Programs like Project Udaan and We-Lead, the Bank's Digital PMS program- Baroda GEMS, etc.
After completing very successful stints in Bank of Baroda as the Head of HR, Regional Head of Bank's Dehradun and Bareilly Regions, Head of Integration at the time of amalgamation of erstwhile Dena and erstwhile Vijaya Banks with Bank of Baroda, Head of Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures of the Bank, he was elevated to the position of Chief General Manager and was posted in the Office of the MD & CEO of the Bank. As a Chief General Manager, he was in-charge of managing the Subsidiaries & Joint Ventures of the Bank, Strategy formulation & implementation and for conducting Bank level and Vertical level reviews, post which, he was appointed as an Executive Director by the Government of India w.e.f. 21.10.2021.
As Executive Director in Bank of Baroda for over 2 years, he has held charge of various critical portfolios in BOB viz. Retail Banking Business (Assets & Liabilities), Wealth Management and NRI Business, Risk, Finance and Planning functions, HRM, IT, Di"gital, Inspection & Audit, Compliance, Credit Monitoring, Collections, Subsidiaries & Joint Ventures, Operations & Services, Enterprise Data Management, among others.
In Indian Overseas Bank, as Executive Director for the last one and a half years, he handles the portfolios of Corporate Banking, Treasury, International Banking, Stressed Assets Management, Banking Operations, Customer Services, Credit Monitoring, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Human Resources, Fraud Risk Management, etc.
He has also served as a director on the board of National.e-Governance Services Ltd. (NeSL), PSB Alliance Ltd, India First Life Insurance Company Ltd, The Nainital Bank Ltd, Baroda Global Shared Services Ltd, BOB Cards Ltd, Bank of Baroda (Botswana) Ltd. and Bank of Baroda Tanzania Ltd besides being a Non-Executive Chairman of the Boards of Baroda-BNP Pari bas Asset India Pvt Ltd and Bank of Baroda (UK) Ltd.
Shri Joydeep Dutta Roy holds an Honours degree in Economics from Delhi University, besides being a law graduate and an MBA from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.
Shri T. Dhanaraj
Executive Director
Shri T. Dhanaraj, has assumed charge as Executive Director of the Bank on 10th March 2024. Prior to this, he was Chief General Manager (CDO/CLO) in Indian Bank. Shri T. Dhanaraj joined Indian Bank as Rural Development Officer in 1994.
During his long stint in the Banking Industry, he gained varied exposures in important spheres of Banking viz., as a Branch Head of Rural & Corporate Branches, Agriculture Credit, MSME and Human Resources. He played a crucial role during the amalgamation of erstwhile Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank in all HR related matters. As the Head of HR in the amalgamated entity, transformation of HR practices was carried out meticulously by implementing Performance Management System (PMS) to drive efficiency.
During his stint as Head of Rural Banking Department, he was instrumental in collaborating with IIT, Madras for Agri. Incubation for financing Agri. Start-ups and initiated Agri Co-lending models. As Chairman of RRB, he successfully completed amalgamation of Pallavan Grama Bank & Pandian Grama bank which eventually came to be known as Tamil Nadu Grama bank. He was also a Director on the Board of NABKISAN, a Subsidiary of NABARD and on the Board of Saptagiri Grameena Bank, an RRB sponsored by Indian Bank.
Shri T Dhanaraj holds an Agricultural Engineering Degree from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University besides holding other Professional qualifications viz., CAIIB, ‘Leadership Development Program’ management course for leaders of PSU banks conducted by IIM Bangalore. He has also attended & completed ‘Executive program in HR Analytics’(EPHRA) from IIM, Lucknow.
Ms. Neelam Agrawal
Govt. Nominee Director
Ms. Neelam Agrawal is an officer of 2008 batch of Indian Revenue Service. Ms Neelam Agrawal has been appointed as Government of India Nominee Director on the Board of Indian Overseas Bank w.e.f 05.08.2024.
Ms. Neelam Agrawal is currently posted as Director, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. She has a wide experience of more than a decade of handling various challenging assignments in the Income Tax Department. Ms. Neelam Agrawal is a graduate from Ranchi University. Prior to joining Indian Revenue Service, she was selected for Jharkhand Administrative Service and served in the State of Jharkhand for a couple of years.
Ms. Sonali Sen Gupta
RBI Nominee Director
Ms. Sonali Sen Gupta is currently serving as Executive Director (ED) with effect from October 09, 2025 at Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Mumbai looking after Consumer Education and Protection Department, Financial Inclusion and Development Department and Inspection Department. In her career of nearly three decades in RBI, she worked as Regional Director for Karnataka, Chief General Manager-in-charge of Financial Inclusion and Development Department at Central Office, Mumbai and served as a Director on Board of National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE), Mumbai.
Ms. Sonali Sen Gupta has represented the Reserve Bank in G20 – Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) and OECD – International Network on Financial Education (INFE). She has also served as a member of various other internal and external Committees. She served as a member secretary to ‘Internal Working Group to Review Agricultural Credit’ and led the team providing secretarial assistance to the ‘Expert Committee on MSME’, set up in 2019.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce (Hons) and has a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance. She is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB).
Shri G Venkataramanan
Shareholder Director
Shri G. Venkataramanan has been appointed as Shareholder Director of the Bank representing the Shareholders other than the Government of India w.e.f 03.12.2025. Shri G Venkataramanan is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience, primarily in the Life insurance sector, covering various operational and strategic areas. His leadership played a key role in strengthening the South Zone of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), positioning it as a leader across multiple business verticals, particularly in Bancassurance, Group Business, and Customer Relationship Management including Claim Settlements.
Under his leadership, several pioneering initiatives were introduced, focusing on building long-term client relationships from onboarding to claim settlement. These initiatives were supported by robust data analytics and customer base insights that enhanced Client engagement and service delivery.
Shri G Venkataramanan superannuated from Life Insurance Corporation of India on 31st July 2025 as Zonal Manager In-Charge of the South Zone, Chennai, in the rank of Executive Director. He joined LIC as a Direct Recruit Officer in 1989. Over the course of his career, he held various positions including Head of Marketing and Customer Relationship Management for the South Zone and served at LIC's Corporate Office in the Marketing Department.
He also had a stint in LIC's Overseas Branch, where his responsibilities included strengthening operational processes vis-å-vis the rollout of new IT systems, improving fund management to enhance operational efficiency and liaising with the regulator,
Shri Venkataramanan holds a degree in Mathematics and is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of India.
Shri Suresh Kumar Rungta
Director
Shri Suresh Kumar Rungta has been re-nominated as Director of Indian Overseas Bank w.e.f 11th April 2025. He has actively participated in various social activities in the state of Bihar as office bearer of several organisations. He has also actively participated as member of Advisory Committee of Bihar VAT and Member of Mela Authority of Bihar.
He has authored several books on economics & social issues. He is regularly contributing in leading newspapers like Hindustan, Aaj, Dainik Jagran, Prabhat Khabar and others on Economic, Rural Development and Agriculture related issues.
Shri B. Chandra Reddy
Director
Shri B. Chandra Reddy has been re-nominated as Director of Indian Overseas Bank w.e.f 11.04.2025. Shri B Chandra Reddy is a practising Chartered Accountant and has vast experience in Auditing. Prior to this he was Statutory Bank Auditor in Union Bank of India during 2020-2021. Further he also worked in various capacities in different Private Sector Companies.
Shri Deepak Sharma

Shri Deepak Sharma has been re-nominated as Director of Indian Overseas Bank w.e.f 11th April 2025. With over 24 years of distinguished leadership experience, Shri Deepak Sharma is a seasoned professional with deep domain expertise across regulatory affairs, financial structuring, strategic investments, and corporate governance.
Shri Deepak Sharma brings proven board-level experience in the banking and financial services sector, where he has contributed to key areas such as risk oversight, regulatory compliance, credit governance, and strategic planning. His insights into structured financing, capital allocation, and risk management are rooted in a strong understanding of both regulatory frameworks and evolving market dynamics. In addition to his financial governance expertise, Shri Deepak Sharma has played a pivotal role in the real estate sector, particularly in the areas of land acquisition, project evaluation, and investment strategy. His ability to align legal, regulatory, and financial perspectives has been critical in delivering complex, high-value developments while ensuring long-term value creation.
Shri Deepak Sharma holds an LL.M. with a specialization in Real Estate Laws and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Business (PGDIB) from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of legal, regulatory, and international business environments.
